Why we chose Ibiza

Ibiza is a special place and choosing it as the destination for our wedding felt like an easy decision. We’ve always loved Ibiza for the music and we’ve made many special memories there as a couple and with friends. It’s also where Justin popped the question!

But beyond the music, we love the incredible sunsets, amazing food and chilled out vibes. It wasn’t until we came back during Covid (yay, memories…) that we really experienced another side of the island, enjoying its natural beauty, hiking trails and stunning beaches.

For us, Ibiza is the perfect blend of relaxation, adventure, and celebration — and we can’t wait to share that with all of you!

The engagement

After lockdown 2.0, we hit Ibiza for some autumn sun. Justin organised a romantic date night at a beach side restaurant (and Meg moaned the whole way in the taxi asking why he’d booked something so far away).

With a jug of sangria finally on the table, a dinghy appeared in the harbour, signalling us to hop in. We were taken to a private sunset cruise on a catamaran with Es Vedra as the backdrop, where Justin popped the question, totally catching Meg off guard.

Looking back, Justin wearing a man bag should’ve given it away!
